Paid Parking Rules
- 1. Paid Parking is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- 2. All fees must be paid in advance.
- 3. Paid Parking is limited to 24 hours.
- 4. Overnight parking is permitted.
- 5. Customers parking in the lot shall pay the posted public parking rate at one of the Secure Parking Hawaii Pay Stations located within the Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor.
- 6. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed and held at owners’ expense.
Permitted Parking Rules
- 1. Decals are non transferable and only valid for the license plate in which they were registered with.
- 2. Overnight parking is permitted.
- 3. The maximum amount of time a vehicle is allowed to stay in a stall is 120 hours.
- 4. Permit Holders shall display a valid parking sticker (decal) issued by Secure Parking Hawaii on the left-hand side of the rear bumper, or as near thereto as the configuration of the vehicle permits.
- 5. Temporary Permit Holders shall display a valid temporary parking permit issued by Secure Parking Hawaii, in the vehicle and must be clearly visible from the outside. Temporary permits are to be displayed on the inside of the vehicle’s windshield on the driver’s side.
- 6. No more than one (1) parking permit shall be issued to a person eligible for a parking permit.
- 7. Replacements for mutilated or illegible permits costs $15. The old permit shall be surrendered, and the fee paid prior to issuance of a new permit.
- 8. Transfer of permits from one vehicle to another vehicle owned by the same owner may be requested at a cost of $15. The old permit shall be surrendered, and the fee paid prior to issuance of a new permit.
- 9. Permits may be canceled at any time and a credit or refund provided for any unexpired months. No credit or refund shall be given for portions of a month.
- 10. It is a violation to:
- a. Allow another person to possess or use a parking sticker issued to the Permit Holder.
- b. Alter, forge, counterfeit, or imitate a parking sticker.
- c. Possess or use a parking sticker, knowing it to have been altered, forged, counterfeited, or imitated.
- d. Avoid compliance or attempt to avoid compliance by using an unauthorized sticker.
- 11. Parking permits will be revoked for non-compliance with these rules.
- 12. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed and held at owners’ expense to: Beach Country Towing at 480 E. Welakahao Road, Kihei, HI 96753. +1 (808) 486 4665.
General Parking Rules
- 1. All vehicles being operated or parked at the Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor shall have a valid vehicle registration and safety check.
- 2. No vehicle in the Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor shall be operated in careless or negligent manner or in disregard of the rights and safety of others.
- 3. Patrons shall follow all official signage and pavement markings unless a regular or special police officer directs otherwise.
- 4. All vehicles shall be parked entirely within the areas designated by the lines or markings of an individual parking stall.
- 5. Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor posted speed limits shall be obeyed at all times.
- 6. Stopping or parking in front of a driveway or land side of a launching ramp is strictly prohibited.
- 7. Stopping or parking any vehicle for purposes of washing, polishing, greasing, or repairing is strictly prohibited except for those minor repairs necessary to remove the vehicle to an authorized area or from the Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor.
- 8. Stopping or parking a vehicle except in accordance with officially posted signage is prohibited.
- 9. Patron’s shall pay for all applicable fees and charges.
- 10. Patron’s shall not exceed posted parking time limits.
- 11. All commercial activity is strictly prohibited without a valid permit issued by the State of Hawaii.
- 12. Using vehicles parked at the Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor as storage is strictly prohibited.
- 13. Patrons shall not tamper with or damage any vehicle other than their own vehicle parked or moving in the parking lot.
- 14. Patrons shall not deface, tamper with, open, or willfully break, destroy, or impair any parking pay station equipment.
- 15. Patrons shall follow all official direction, instruction, or restriction indicated by or on official signs posted in the Ma’alaea Small Boat Harbor.
- 16. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed and held at owners’ expense.
